This might sound stupid but can anyone tell me about how much it costs for a bass guitar and lessons?

i don't know exactly but my brother got one for a hundred or so? more depending on how nice the guitar is. i have no idea how much lessons cost, but i'm sure if you check out some of the local music stores, they'll have information. it must vary from shop to shop, so look around and compare prices!

happy bass-ing.

yeah, to be honest, it varies. You can buy a used one from a crappy brand, or a new one from krank

haha oh billy, metalocalypse teaches you some things...but definitely not every thing. there's like a bazillion *nice* brands, including but not limited to krank. i would suggest buying a used, yet quality bass from either a store that has it on consignment or from an individual. you still get the brand name and the play quality, but probably end up paying half the cost.

just an idea.

I would suggest getting a fender for a starter. They make good basses, and they have some cheaper starter ones between 150 and 250 dollars. Of course, the really "nice" ones cost thousands, maybe 500 at the cheapest, but you really only need a basic one to make good music. Honestly, I keep my instruments basic, and it gets the job done. I don't see why people need to get the most expensive guitars, when they really don't change much [with some exceptions]
