Every band that has made it even the slightest bit up the ladder to being big has a music video, but those aren't the only bands worthy of it. Sometimes, small local bands are just as good as the big ones, but appear so to a smaller audience. Several times when I have gone to local shows, and heard simply fantastic music, I've wondered why I cant see some awesome music video for this. The answer however never takes too long to realize. Making a music video is no small task. It has to be planned, scripted, usually fit to a song, the artists need to be able to lip sync to their own music, and thats only to mention the tasks that come to mind. One local band however has decided to do it anyways.
Francine, a band from Thompson Connecticut that plays a high volume of their shows in Massachusetts is going to have their first music video out hopefully anytime now. It features their newest song "The Grande Auction" which can be heard on their myspace or purevolumn.
The video was shot by Justin Girard and directed by Francine's very own Kayoum. The shooting is already complete, and alls that is left to be completed is the editing. Either way, containing scenes with nudity, bloody axes, and undoubtedly endless rocking out, it is surely something to look forward too.
